Behavior Technician Needed
We are seeking an energetic and patient Behavior Technician to implement behavioral treatment plans for children with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. In this role you will:
- Provide 1:1 intervention based on principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and each child's treatment plan
- Use positive reinforcement, modeling, and other techniques to improve communication, social, academic, adaptive, and cognitive skills
- Observe and collect data on behaviors and skill acquisition
- Maintain clear and detailed progress notes
- Support children in generalizing learned behaviors and skills to new environments
- Collaborate with treatment team including parents, teachers, supervisors, and other technicians
- Attend required trainings and supervision meetings
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year experience working with children with developmental disabilities (preferred, but not required)
- Willingness to obtain RBT certification within 90 days
- Strong behavior management skills
- Patient, caring, and creative approach
This is a part-time position with a Monday - Friday daytime schedule. Flexibility to cover occasional weekends may be required. Candidates should have availability to work after-school hours if needed.
