- Determine AV equipment and services required for events.
- Train, schedule, and monitor part-time Campus Events AV Assistants.
- Assist with the operation, positioning, installation, connection, and adjustment of audio-visual equipment for events, including microphones, computers, projectors, lighting and sound etc.
- Assist or train team members with the operation, positioning, connection, and adjustment of audio-visual equipment for learning spaces, including microphones, computers, projectors, lighting and sound etc.
- Monitor the venue and surrounding area for cleanliness, temperature control, and other issues related to the facility.
- Inform AV Coordinator and Manager, Auxiliary Services and Grants of any equipment or facility issues.
- Perform troubleshooting on issues with AV equipment and computer equipment in event spaces.
- Perform minor troubleshooting on issues with AV in learning spaces and consult with IT team members as needed.
- Serves as the AV point of contact for clients before and during events.
- Maintain focus on customer service and ensure a positive experience for clients, college team members, students, and guests.
- Serve as backup for part-time Campus Events AV Assistants as needed to cover events. Will require evenings and weekend availability.
- Serve as backup for events in Hatheway Auditorium and assist with larger events.
- Two years’ experience in operating multimedia, audiovisual and lighting equipment
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong customer-service background
- Ability to work some nights and weekends
