Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Configure, fine-tune, and validate AV equipment such as projectors, screens, audio setups, and control systems.
- Execute comprehensive integration testing to ensure flawless functionality and operation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical glitches pertaining to AV systems during setup and initiation phases.
- Offer technical assistance and direction to project groups and clientele as required, including leading training sessions on AV equipment usage.
- Collaborate closely with project teams to grasp client demands and project specifications.
- Perform on-site evaluations to assess technical prerequisites and identify potential hurdles.
- Accurately document commissioning procedures, test outcomes, and system configurations.
- Keep abreast of Commercial AV advancements, best practices, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of experience in commissioning and/or servicing AV systems for intricate commercial ventures.
- Proficient technical acumen in AV equipment and systems, encompassing video cameras, switchers, digital signal processors, amplifiers, speakers, and control system platforms (e.g., Crestron, Extron).
- Familiarity with AV testing tools and software.
- Understanding of basic networking and AV over IP protocols (e.g., AVB, Dante).
- Proficiency in optimizing unified communication platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom) for client video conferencing solutions.
- Capability to terminate standard AV cabling following industry standards.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively within a team setting; experience leading field project installations is advantageous.
- Competency in interpreting engineering schematics and conveying design intentions.
- Providing technical expertise for the architecture, installation, and planning of audio, video, and control solutions.
- Researching and evaluating the capabilities of available hardware and software options.
- Designing audiovisual systems comprised of various hardware and software components to meet specific customer requirements.
- Preferred qualifications include AV design experience and certifications such as Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) – AVIXA, Dante Level 1 Certification, and proficiency with Crestron, Biamp, QSC, Shure, Extron software/hardware, and soldering AV connectors.
