Are you a strategic, data-driven, and creative marketer with proven expertise in developing integrated B2B marketing content?  
 
The content marketing specialist is responsible for creating Integrated Marketing content aimed at one or more of our target personas (Finance Decision Makers, Travel Managers, IT Decision Makers, HR Leaders, AP Leaders, and Tax Professionals) to drive awareness, demand, and thought leadership for SAP Concur’s expense, travel, and invoice product and solutions portfolio. Collaborating with the rest of the Integrated Marketing Communications and Campaigns (IMCC) team, other SAP Concur global and field marketing teams and external partners, you are always looking to improve existing marketing strategies and incorporate new opportunities. 
 
You are responsible for the co-creation and execution of the end-to-end campaign strategy and activities. Success in this role requires strong partnerships and hand-offs with the field to ensure campaigns are adopted and deliver outstanding results.  
 
Responsibilities:   

  • Ability to translate business goals and objectives from marketing plans into actionable integrated campaigns with the right mix of awareness, demand and sales activities across the customer lifecycle journey.  

  • Use audience insights, personas, keyword research, messaging themes, campaign plans, competitive information, and Content performance analytics to build an editorial calendar, and create related content 

  • Create a steady stream of primary and derivative assets that can be leveraged across various channels and use cases — for example, a research report complemented by an infographic, blog post, video, executive summary, and webinars that supports corporate and local business needs that drive pipeline and revenue.   

  • Engage and collaborate with cross-functional participants (e.g., portfolio marketing, digital marketing, demand center, field marketing, marketing operations, IT, agencies, freelancers) as needed to support content ideation, creation, activation, and measurement requirements 

  • Manage meeting and resource schedules, workflows, and deadlines associated with content marketing activities 

  • Communicate effectively on a regularly scheduled cadence with the field and key stakeholders to ensure alignment. 

  • Publish and activate content within a web content management system or other tools 

  • Contribute to SEO and search engine marketing initiatives with keyword optimization, content tagging, and metadata management 

  • Collaborate with marketing program owners, content strategists, and/or campaign managers to integrate and repurpose content marketing and campaign content where appropriate 

  • Track, measure and report content activation and performance against agreed-upon metrics, working across regions to identify and analyze gaps and actions plans to course-correct as campaign execution unfolds. 

  • Collaborate with cross program and corporate peers including AR, PR, social, advertising, events, customer stories, partner and digital to deliver exceptional integrated customer experience through the campaigns. 

 

 
Background/Experience:  

  • 5+ years or more in a marketing, Marketing Communications, digital, media, advertising, or related role—resulting in a demonstrated mastery of Integrated Marketing campaign design, content marketing and digital promotion  

  • Project management experience 

  • Related industry/domain experience (e.g., B2B marketing) highly desirable

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new business domain knowledge to content strategy and asset creation 

  • Ability to understand, digest, and distill complex concepts for mass consumption via engaging content 

  • Strong writing and editing skills 

  • Sensibility for design and video/multimedia 

  • Keyword research skills and basic technical SEO knowledge 

  • Ability to work in a web content management system 

  • Ability to tag and link content for SEO 

  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines 

  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing budgets, vendors, and agencies 

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills 

  • Excellent communication, collaboration and consensus-building skills — ability to work with cross-functional teams 

  • Proofreading and copyediting skills for brand voice, style, grammar and punctuation

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 99,000-216,000 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
