Requirements:
- Active member of New York bar in good standing
- Admitted to practice in State Courts
- 5 years of meaningful, hands-on litigation experience - real estate or foreclosure preferred; Bankruptcy litigation experience a plus. Surrogate’s experience a ++
- Proven ability to effectively manage a caseload, handling all aspects of the cases from initial filing through final disposition. You will be asked to provide three citations to complex cases you’ve successfully argued.
- Excellent research skills and verbal communication ability
- Advanced writing skills a MUST. Two writing samples required, one of which must be an Appellate brief
- Highly analytical with the ability to develop innovative approaches and creative solutions to challenging legal issues.
- Highly informed and abreast of the latest trends in foreclosure law
- Strong academic credentials coupled with superior computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and effectively communicate with team members at all levels
- Drive, determination and a commitment to excellence
- Demonstrated ability to: work collaboratively as a member of the team, adapt behavior in dealing with changing situations and people, adjust priorities in response to unanticipated events, manage and stay on top of a variety of projects in an organized manner, work efficiently and quickly, while maintaining good work product, work under pressure and meet deadlines
