Associate Attorney - Insurance Claims Attorney

Sneed & Mitchell LLP is looking for an associate to aid within our claims department. This position involves assisting with a docket of claims by:

• Review, analyze and summarize claims documents including medical records and bill, incident reports, and more.
• Learn to provide a legal analysis of files to determine likelihood of recovery, recoverable amounts, identification of additional documentation necessary for recovery, recoverable amounts, identification of additional
• Prepare and present clients in depositions (conducted virtually by Zoom)
• Participate in meetings to address issues pertinent to the resolution of files
• Communicate clearly and concisely with clients on issues involving their claims
• Assist with drafting legal documents
• Treat clients with concern, compassion, and understanding for their circumstance.

Bonus pay and increases may be expected based upon performance. The starting salary ranges between $100,000 and $125,000.

Location: Must reside in Texas. Our firm is based in Texas, we are currently in the process of growing our presence within Texas. This position is remote, but will require travel to Houston, our hub, at different times throughout the year.

Required Qualifications:

- State bar license (any state will suffice).

- Recent graduate of an accredited law school (0-1 years).

- Excellent organizational and communication skills.

- Strong legal writing capabilities.

- Duties: Meetings with clients. Defending depositions, recorded statements and vocational assessments.

- Provide weekly case updates.

- Ensure Client matters are actively moving forward

Hiring Timeline: Interviews will be conducted now and on a rolling basis until the positions are filled.
