Attorney | Family Law

A Seattle law firm is currently searching for a full-time Family Law Associate. The ideal candidate is an active member of the Washington State Bar Association and is located in the Bothell, WA area. The candidate should possess the confidence and skill set necessary to thrive in a fast-paced practice group and make a significant impact. Key qualifications include strong delegation skills, excellent oral and written communication, analytical proficiency, a demonstrated record of client service, and commitment to the firm's mission and core values. Familiarity with FamilySoft, PracticeMaster, TABS, and Worldox is advantageous, and the candidate is expected to be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients and counsel them on their legal needs.
• Conduct all aspects of discovery, and gather evidence in cases to formulate a defense or to initiate legal action.
  
• Prepare legal briefs, and develop strategy, arguments, and testimony in preparation for the case presentation.
  
• Prepare and attend oral arguments for mediations, motions, arbitrations, and trials.
  
• Conduct legal research, prepare memorandum and legal pleadings, interview clients and witnesses, and handle other details in preparation for the trial.
  
• Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses. May confer with colleagues with a specialty in certain areas to establish and verify the basis for legal proceedings.
  
• Draft various legal documents in a timely and consistent manner.
