Pacifica Law Group is a unique Seattle law firm serving both public and private clients throughout the Pacific Northwest with high-level expertise, intellect, and a commitment to Northwest companies and civic entities. Pacifica attorneys practice in appellate, constitutional, and governmental litigation; school law; real estate; construction; public finance; and public-private partnerships.
We are seeking a motivated 1L to join us for a summer to learn about all of our practice areas and work in a dynamic and team-oriented atmosphere.
We seek applicants who are committed to working in the Pacific Northwest after graduation and who are interested in promoting and contributing to our firm's core values: mutual respect; openness; civility; community engagement and volunteerism; diversity in our firm, the legal profession, and our community at large; and balance in our work and lives. Priority will be placed on identifying applicants who will meaningfully add diverse perspectives and backgrounds-and thus the effectiveness and fairness-of our firm's culture and the broader legal community. All applicants are invited to include in their cover letters an explanation of how they will contribute to the firm's core values of our firm and, ultimately, the legal profession. People from historically marginalized backgrounds or underrepresented groups are especially encouraged to apply.
The duration is flexible, not to exceed ten weeks, and should conclude before the OCI process for your school begins. Because we are a relatively smaller firm, we are unable to commit to an eventual or expected job offer upon graduation.
This position will be paid $2,500 per week. Benefits include an Orca (transit) card and access to the building's fitness center.
