The U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Office for Civil Rights (OCR) is looking for Attorney Advisors. The OCR ensures compliance with Civil Rights laws that apply to recipients of Federal financial assistance from the DOJ. OCR attorneys investigate and resolve discrimination complaints, conduct compliance reviews, and provide technical assistance on Civil Rights, among other tasks to enforce federal prohibitions against discrimination and ensure equal opportunity.Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications
Grade 14:
Applicant must:
- Possess a J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
- Be an active member of the bar in good standing (any U.S. jurisdiction).
- Have a minimum of 2 1/2 years of post J.D. legal experience in Civil Rights Law which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
