Supervisory Attorney-Advisor (Director, Litigation), NB-0905-VIII

As the Director for Litigation, you will serve as the primary advisor to OCC management on significant banking, legal and supervisory issues. Additionally, you will oversee and provide direction to Litigation unit managers, staff attorneys and other professional and support employees.

You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement:
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-VIIband level in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience for this position include:

• Experience providing strategic leadership and supervision to staff, and
• Experience providing legal representation on matters related to litigation, including litigation risk advice.
  • Areas of relevant experience include civil litigation at the trial and appellate levels in conjunction with (1) Litigation pursuant to the Administrative Procedure Act involving agency rulemakings and/or administrative adjudications; (2) Personnel/employment actions (including matters before the EEOC and MSPB); (3) FOIA and other disclosure issues; or (4) Civil litigation and representation related to federal banking matters.

AND

Must be an active member of the bar of a State, U.S. commonwealth, U.S. territory, or the District of Columbia.

Current OCC employees must have a performance rating of at least Level 3 overall and for all critical performance elements to be eligible for promotion.
The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
