About This Position:
This position is located in the General Law Unit of the DOTD Legal Section. Under the oversight of an Attorney Supervisor, Attorney 4, and other senior attorneys, this position is responsible for providing guidance to department staff on pre-litigation claim processing and representing the department in negotiation, mediation, or litigation in connection with claims for damages suffered by the department, disputes relating to the General Law Unit's areas of expertise, or otherwise, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

• Possession of a license to practice law in the state of Louisiana.

Function of Work:

• To assist an attorney of higher rank in the preparation of court cases and/or advisory opinions and may litigate and/or prepare advisory opinions in cases of a routine nature.
