Duties:
- Provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and autism
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure client confidentiality
- Monitor and record vital signs as directed by a nurse or healthcare professional
- Provide hospice care and support to individuals at end-of-life
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding if necessary
- Perform heavy lifting as required to assist clients with mobility
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism is preferred
- Knowledge of ADLs and ability to provide appropriate care and support
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain client confidentiality
- Ability to take vital signs under the direction of a nurse or healthcare professional
- Experience in providing hospice care is a plus
- Willingness to perform heavy lifting as needed to assist clients with mobility
