Athletic Trainer

Posting Summary:Provide athletic training services for varsity student-athletes, including acute care, rehabilitation and health & performance education. Promote and support the philosophy, policies, and procedures for comprehensive university health services that incorporate multicultural diversity, inclusivity, and social justice concepts and principles to support student wellbeing. Responsible for supporting the mission and philosophy of the Center for Health and Wellbeing, Division of Student Affairs and the University of Vermont. Provide respectful and confidential services for all students, valuing differences in race, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender, national origin, ability, veteran status, socioeconomic status, and age.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):Bachelor’s Degree in Health care related field and two years athletic training experience with collegiate athletics. BOC Certified Athletic Trainer; Vermont Licensed or eligible for licensing. Knowledge of computer software to assist with scheduling, networking, and student instruction. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to health care of student-athletes and to diversity and inclusiveness.
Desirable Qualifications:Master’s degree
Other Information:Anticipated salary range is $55,000 to $68,000. Actual hiring pay dependent on comparable campus peer(s) at time of hire, and candidate’s experience level and length.
