Salary Range: $28.1800 - $43.2900 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) partners with SPORTS MEDICINE physicians and support staff to deliver the highest level of care and attention for patients. ATCs will use their knowledge, strong critical thinking abilities, and assessment skills to provide direct patient care. ATC reviews and prepares patient charts prior to patient arrival. When patient arrives, ATC initiates visit by reconciling medial history and history of present illness. ATC provides cast and splint applications and assists physicians with procedures. Maintains accurate documentation. Will provide patient education and instruction for physical therapy exercises and proper body mechanics for treatment of current ailment and prevention of injury in the future. Understands the concussion care program and application and use of ImPACT for baseline and post-concussion protocols with physicians. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Required:
Certificated in CPR and first aid.
Available to work flexible hours.
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree or better.
Knowledge of medical terminology and functional anatomy preferred.
Three years' experience in SPORTS MEDICINE environment (team healthcare or similar).
Certifications Required:
Certification through NATABOC required.
BLS - AHA Basic Life required
Certifications Preferred
Must have fulfilled all requirements of the NATA Board of Certification exam and state licensure or regulation (as determined by the state).
Must provide proof of current Certification through NATABOC and be in good standing.
Must provide proof of current CPR/AED Certification.
Must provide proof of current private malpractice insurance.
