Form of workSUMMARYThis position will advise, coordinate, and supervise High School athletic programs, as well as be the Head Coach for High School sports teams. As the Athletics Coordinator, this position is responsible for all campus athletics programs meeting the goals and objectives of Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) to provide students the opportunity to participate and excel in the athletic program of their choice. As a Head Coach for High School sports this position is responsible for performing all duties regarding recruiting players, organizing, practicing, maintaining the playing field and practice facilities, scheduling, and developing student athletes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's DegreeCurrent CPR w/AED CertificateCurrent First Aid CertificatePrior coaching experience at the high school level.Experience developing, organizing or maintaining athletic programs requiredKnowledge of AIA rules and regulations.Verbal and written communication skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMaster's Degree in Education Administration of a related fieldEnglish/Spanish BilingualExperience in public speakingExperience developing student specific interventions, fund raising, and facilitating performing arts programs.Experience and knowledge of student athletics to include NHSS. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE FBI fingerprint background check. Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
