- Position Summary
- This position provides technical expertise by facilitating patient transfers and consultations, managing assignment of Emergency Department, admissions to Hospital Medicine service and by providing support to all care team members to facilitate timely access to Maine Medical Center. This is the first level in a three level career path.
- Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: High school education preferred.
- License/Certifications: EMS Certification does not have to be current, or willing to enroll and complete EMS Certification or 5 years' directly relatable experience.
- Experience: See "License/Certifications." Previous experience with Microsoft Office suite, EPIC and TeleTracking a plus. May require some guidance on essential job functions. 0 – 2 years' One Call Central experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
- Basic understating of hospital operations.
- Able to identify problems, prioritize work, make decisions and use sound judgment.
- Ability to maintain a compassionate attitude in a highly stressful environment.
