The Vail Resorts Finance Team is committed to Building Leaders and Driving Value. We have created a new fully centralized Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in our corporate headquarters near Boulder, Colorado, to support a growing company of 37 resorts across Australia, Canada and the United States, 55,000+ employees, and a market capitalization of over $12 billion. Our FP&A organization brings best-in-class insight generation, data-driven decision-making support and financial management to Vail Resorts – the ski industry’s global leader.
The SG&A Finance team is looking for a Senior Analyst that can drive comprehensive financial planning, forecasting, and analysis for the SG&A segment at Vail, which includes the Marketing, Legal, IT, Sales, HR, and Reservation divisions. The Finance team works closely with the CFO and other C-suite executives of the Company to ensure integrity of data governance and management practices, drive business insights, and support strategic decision making. This role will report to the Senior Finance Manager and will also work closely with the Senior Director of SG&A Finance.

Job Responsibilities:
Business Partnering & Strategic Analysis
Partner with C-suite executives within Marketing, Legal, IT, Sales, HR, and Reservations to provide critical business support, inform decision making, and provide strategic direction
Partner with other Finance teams across Vail, such as Corporate Finance and Accounting to drive business insights and process efficiencies
Develop innovative and impactful analyses, tools, processes and procedures to facilitate and monitor business performance
Participate in Monthly Business Review and present to Senior Leadership Team
Budgeting / Forecasting / Financial Close
Develop standardized processes and policies across the SG&A team to drive efficiencies in forecasting and budget cycles
Update and maintain documentation on process improvements which drive repeatable efficient processes.
Create innovative and impactful analyses, tools, processes and procedures to facilitate and monitor business performance
Generate useful financial models that empower decision making support to business partners across the organization
Partner with leadership teams to develop comprehensive annual operating and capital budgets
Conduct post-mortem analysis on investments to assess profitability
Develop monthly P&L variance review and updated forecast for all SG&A cost centers
Produce KPI dashboard and reporting capabilities that drive actionable business insights
Partner with accounting team to support accurate & timely execution of monthly financial close

Job Qualifications:
3+ years of experience (or 1-2 years with MBA or other graduate degree) in finance or accounting
Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in Finance, Accounting or a related field
Experience in financial planning and analysis functions, including annual budget, capital budgeting, long-term strategic planning and resource allocation processes
Experience with VBA, Alteryx a plus

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $89,100.00 - $121,305.00 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
