Job Title: Associate, Sports

Reporting to: Associate Director of Sports, Live & Gaming

Location: Wavemaker NY

About The Role

This role sits within the Sports, Live & Gaming practice at Wavemaker, which leads all brand partnerships, inclusive of esports, sports, entertainment, and experiential initiatives across Wavemaker clients.

The ideal candidate will be:

· A dynamic individual with a genuine passion for sports & entertainment marketing, exhibiting strong analytical thinking, creativity, and exceptional project management skills

· Taking on a critical role in providing support for the development of integrated sports & entertainment partnership programs for our clients

· Expected to actively contribute to and take charge of the day-to-day operations surrounding a Wavemaker client partnership portfolio

Responsibilities

· Support the development and implementation of integrated sports & entertainment partnership programs, including media commitments, rights, signage, experiential activations, and hospitality

· Manage team operations and ensure smooth functioning of the team supporting our clients partnership portfolio

· Coordinate and facilitate day-to-day activities related to our clients partnerships, including communication with partner organizations, document facilitation, and project coordination

· Support the team in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of partnerships, tracking deadlines, and ensuring deliverables are met

· Assist in the planning and implementation of partnership initiatives, such as media commitments, experiential activations, and hospitality programs

· Provide administrative support, such as scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and maintaining relevant documentation

· Help manage the communication flow and coordination between different team members, stakeholders, and partner organizations

· Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other documents related to our clients sports & entertainment partnership portfolio

· Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to provide strategic recommendations and thought leadership

· Contribute to team brainstorming sessions, bringing ideas and insights to support client initiatives

The Candidate

· 1-2 years of experience in client service and account management experience, specifically in Sports and/or entertainment partnership roles

· Understands and is passionate about sports & entertainment marketing

· Ability to stay informed about emerging trends, technology, and strategic partnership opportunities

· Strong problem-solving skills and creative curiosity to handle complex marketing initiatives

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting is $45,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
