Associate (Senior)

Description:

An International White Shoe Law Firm seeks an Associate (Senior) in Washington, DC to review and negotiate antitrust-related provisions in complex sale and purchase agreements, as well as review antitrust compliance and investigations. Requires J.D. or foreign equivalent and four years of experience as an Associate or related occupation. Must include four years of experience in each of the following: Providing expert legal advice and counsel to internal stakeholders on all aspects of compliance with antitrust laws; Formulating legal strategy based on comprehensive legal and factual research and analysis to evaluate the potential antitrust implications of business strategies, agreements, and practices; Conducting internal investigations to identify and address potential antitrust violations, and recommending appropriate remedial actions; Overseeing preparation of notifications to the U.S. government under the Hart-Scott Rodino Act (“HSR filings”) to ensure compliance with antitrust laws and regulations; Representing U.S. and ex-U.S. clients in negotiations with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other external stakeholders on antitrust matters; and Providing legal support and guidance on antitrust aspects of merger review processes, merger litigation, antitrust investigations, and antitrust litigation. In the alternative, the employer will accept an LLM or foreign equivalent and four years of experience. Must be admitted to practice law in Washington, DC.
