Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Associate Environmental Scientist.

Role:
Under close supervision, performs a variety of environmental sampling and analytical tasks by applying basic scientific techniques. The Scientist at this level is in a developmental mode, being trained in the utilization of relevant theories and practices, and gaining exposure to Company procedures. Performs various scientific tasks related to environmental projects such as field work, sampling, and assisting in report preparation. Some assignments involve the use of computer applications (e.g., spreadsheets, etc.). Willingness to travel and/or relocate to field sites is expected.
Responsibilities:

• Performs various field and office tasks requiring the application of basic scientific principles and fundamental theories.
• Reviews and analyzes data collected in environmental sampling programs.
• Researches and compiles background data in support of an environmental project.
• May assist in permit application development.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a science curriculum related to the assigned discipline and typically 0+ years of related work experience.
• Familiarity with software packages typically associated with the discipline is preferred.
• Ability to work outside in a variety of weather conditions
• Ability to walk on uneven surfaces, bend, stoop, kneel and climb.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

Salary Range:
