A trusted provider of quality biospecimens and multi-omic laboratory services to hundreds of customers across the U.S. and around the world to accelerate precision medicine programs. Under the direction of the Sr. Director, IT Operations, this position provides technology vision and leadership in the ongoing development and maintenance of Salesforce Operations such as administration, configuration, and development. The Associate Director, Salesforce Operations collaborates with other key positions within the IT organization, such as Project Management, Information Security, and Support to assess and identify current and future business requirements and create a global technology strategy to support organizational goals and IT governance. The Associate Director is both technical and strategy-minded and understands business processes and is comfortable in public and meeting presentations. This role requires excellent prioritization, responsiveness, troubleshooting, and customer service skills focused on delivery and execution. This position will be responsible for the training and mentoring of both associate and senior Salesforce administrators on the team. This position will be responsible for the execution of day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, development and enhancement of our Salesforce.com deployment.

- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sr. Salesforce.com Administrator / Developer
- Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar discipline preferred
- Salesforce.com Admin (ADM201/ADM211) certification strongly desired or demonstrated equivalent experience
- Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Developer certifications preferred
- Financial Force or equivalent financial/ERP software experience strongly desired
- Supply Chain Management and CPQ experience strongly desired
- Experience converting to modern platforms (Lightning, Collaborative Forecasts, etc.) strongly preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
- Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption
- Extensive knowledge of Salesforce security controls, permission sets, sharing settings, workflows, field updates, data loader, managed packages, etc.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality
- Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems, and processes
- Extremely strong ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions within Salesforce.com
- Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively at all levels across the organization
- Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, distill high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs

- A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion
- Serve as primary system administrator for the Salesforce.com environment with 400+ users
- Manage a team of Salesforce administrators and developers
- Communicate Salesforce.com changes to the broader commercial operations teams
- Provide KPIs and metrics on our Salesforce instance to account for system and team growth needs
- Collaborate with department leadership on the prioritization of Salesforce requests and oversee deliverables for the team
- Create and customize objects, workflows, record types, page layouts, fields (including advanced formulas and lookups), apps, tabs, profiles, security, and approval processes
- Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades
- Ensure data integrity; experience with data manipulation, cleaning, and de-duplication
- Manage Salesforce.com data feeds and other integrations
- Coordinate the evaluation, scope and completion of new development requests
- Work with management team to establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities
- Work independently with members of the user community to define and document requirements
- Manage and collaborate with multiple third party vendors performing work within the Salesforce.com org
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
