AT AGM UNIVERSITY, WE ARE GROWING

We are currently seeking an Associate Registrar. In this role, you will be responsible for the evaluation of student related documents, and registrar related procedures and functions. This role on-site at our campus in Orlando, FL.

The Associate Registrar ensures registrar operations and processes are performed accurately, efficiently, and within a timely fashion while in accordance with university policies, federal and state laws, accrediting agencies, and FERPA guidelines. AGM University serves a diverse student population, offering bilingual education to the community for traditional and non-traditional students.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Registers students and performs adjustments to their schedule.
  • Generates and processes internal, official and student transcripts copies.
  • Performs any changes related to approved student appeals of attendance and grades in the Student Information System.
  • Ensures all student service request forms and staff service request forms are processed in a timely fashion.
  • Assists in the execution of the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) process and ensures SAP policy compliance with Title IV program requirements and prepares statistical reports of the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) outcome
  • Prepares grade rosters for distribution for each part of term as well as follows up with faculty to ensure grades are inputted.
  • Responsible for evaluating transcripts to determine credits which will transfer while adhering to guidelines and institutional policies and enters the transfer credits into the Student Information System.
  • Prepares preliminary and final graduation evaluations. Collaborates with the Academic Counselor to determine course substitutions.
  • Interprets and implements policies and procedures concerning foreign credential evaluations.
  • Serves as the primary campus official ensuring compliance of VA and SEVIS certifying regulations.
  • Serves as the Certifying School Official SEVP, therefore responsible for certifying official student records and transcripts for the institution to issue I-20 visas following Department of Homeland Security guidelines.
  • Provides training to the student success counselors in the processes of course transfer credit evaluations, degree audit, and the admission of Veterans and F-1 Visa candidate/students.
  • Advises and supports faculty and staff on policies and procedures, including the student information system, as they relate to the Office of the Registrar.
  • Participates in the planning and implementation of the site retention plan.
  • Primary individual to research and verify that students’ records meet the admission and registration documentation policies: e.g. Official transcripts, high school transcripts, recommendations, and certification forms.
  • Conducts internal audits once per semester of admissions documents.
  • Support graduation efforts including conferring degrees, generating documentation, ordering materials, and the ceremony.
  • Perform other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in similar role, at least three (3) years of experience in a higher education setting.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (fluent) with the ability to communicate complex information simply, both verbally and written required.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Available to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
