Associate Qa Analyst - Remote

Once you’re up and running, you will work with management, technical leads, product owners, and other team members to develop cutting edge, best in class, SaaS applications. You will assure that software products are created and delivered to customers with the highest possible level of quality through various testing activities.

• Learn about Zywave, our story, our products, our vision, and our process.
• Test software product upgrades, changes, enhancements, new products and product deployments.
• Review product requirements and user stories for testing purposes. Identify risks or design flaws and provide solutions to develop and implement.
• Document, communicate and facilitate correction of defects discovered during the product lifecycle, working with the developers and project managers to ensure appropriate follow through to resolution.
• Provide input into process and incorporate testing industry best practices into the existing process model.
• Act as a member of an agile software development team and provide input on requirements, design, and application quality.
• Own the quality of Zywave’s products throughout the development life cycle.

What you should bring:

• A Bachelor’s degree in information systems technology, computer science, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 0-2 years of relevant experience
• Basic understanding of web-based software application design, programming, and coding standards
• Familiarity with writing basic SQL queries
• Ability to understand our products’, customers’, and partners’ needs in the insurance environment
• Solid written, oral communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in an open environment and support excellent team communication
• A proactive style with the ability to follow through on commitments and understand the importance of deadlines

Pluses to have:

• Familiarity with current .NET development technologies (C#, ASP.NET, MVC, etc.).
• Understanding of quality assurance concepts, best practices, and methodology.
• Hands-on experience in testing web-based software applications.
• Hands-on experience in software test automation and/or performance testing.
• Experience in an agile software development environment.
