The ARCHES Team is searching for an Associate Program Director to join the team! If you are seeking a position that will positively impact people in your local community then apply today! The ARCHESAssociate Program Director is responsible for maintaining internal operating systems for the ARCHES Housing programs. This includes: overseeing building safety and maintenance, implementing of human resource policies, evaluating program design and efficiency of service delivery, and facilitating annual reports. This position assists program staff to ensure achievement of program goals as well as compliance with agency policies and procedures. Additional duties include working with MWVCAA sub-recipients, program development with an emphasis on strengthening work flows, and day-to-day problem resolutions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required of this position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

A Bachelor's degree in Administration, Social Services, or a related field; 4 years of experience in administration or program management/coordination in a social service or community services setting, and/or a minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience. *A preference will be given to those with experience managing/coordinating programs working with vulnerable or at-risk populations, including people experiencing homelessness or at-risk of homelessness.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS

  • Driver Qualification Status required for this position. Driver license and satisfactory drive record for previous three years required.

  • Candidate must pass a comprehensive MWVCAA background screening prior to employment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of federal, state and local grant and budgeting requirements and procedures.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to work some evenings, weekends, early morning hours.

  • Ability to effectively present information to senior management, staff and public groups.

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

  • Possess intermediate to advanced computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, database software, online tools, and video conference platforms.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee will also perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

  • Implements program guidelines, policies and procedures designed to promote stable housing across Marion and Polk County.

  • Supervision of Housing Program Managers.

  • Mentors and oversees the Community Resource Program by staff hiring, evaluation, training for new employees, daily oversight, monitoring/coaching, and ongoing training and professional development.

  • Assists in coordinating and maintaining compliance for all grants (Federal, State, local, and Foundational.)

  • Researches evidence-based practices and initiates partnerships to continue to increase assistance services.

  • Oversees data compliance and data quality, analyzes data, and provides training and support to employees utilizing the database.

  • Conducts programmatic evaluation and data analysis; tracks outcomes.

  • Establishes and maintains positive community partnerships for continued development of programs.

  • Coordinates and facilitates community meetings.

  • Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Requires frequent personal mobility between offices and sites. Frequent local travel and occasional distance travel as needed.

  • Manual dexterity for computer and office equipment, and the capacity to quickly learn new technologies.

  • Occasional urgent situations requiring law enforcement involvement and/or paramedic professionals.

  • Close quarters, often with a client population experiencing homelessness, substance use disorders, and/or severe and persistent mental illness, and/or unpredictable behavior.

  • Occasional exposure to bodily fluids and malodorous air.
