Ancestry seeks a passionate and talented Associate Product Manager to join our Data and Analytics Platform team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our products by leveraging Data, Platform technologies, and process frameworks to enhance our customers' experience, drive innovation, and advance our mission. As an Associate Product Manager, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions that resonate with our global user base.

What you will do…

  • Develop a deep understanding of Ancestry's Platform capabilities and collaborate with senior Product Managers to contribute to the overall product strategy and vision.

  • Work closely with Data Analytics and engineering and Platform teams to define, prioritize, and manage Data and platform features and enhancements.

  • Conduct research to identify data requirements and platform feasibility to inform product roadmap

  • Advocate for the user and ensure that product decisions are aligned with enhancing the customer experience.

  • Assist in creating and maintaining a product roadmap, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Analytics, Platform Architecture, Data Governance, and Engineering to drive project success.

  • Monitor Analytics Data Quality and drive discussions to implement quality checks/process frameworks that will improve trust in data

  • Coordinate with Analytics and cross-functional teams to ideate and iterate on Data and platform features

  • Create and maintain product documentation, including feature requirements, specifications, and user stories.

Who you are…

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in product management, preferably in a data-centric or platform-focused environment.

  • Proficiency in agile and scrum methodologies.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and project management tools like Rally.

  • Exposure to Platform and Technology projects.
