Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as an Associate Nurse Executive (Associate Chief Nursing Officer).
Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift
Position Location: This position is an in person within Virginia.
Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).
Minimum Requirements:
- Master's degree (Business, Healthcare Administration or Nursing) required.
- 3+ years management experience required.
- 5+ years nurse leadership experience required.
- Nursing experience required.
Expectations for this Role:
Sentara Health is seeking an Associate Nurse Executive. This person will be responsible for assisting the Chief Nursing Officer (2nd in charge of nursing).
Additional Expectations:
- Improving the patient experience.
- Improving quality and safety in patient care area.
- Creating plans and execution for nurse recruitment and turnover.
- Drives Results.
- Manages complexity.
The person will be responsible for nursing director and operational leaders.

Job Summary
Serve as a leader for inpatient nursing operations. Responsible for the success of the patient care departments, recruitment and retention strategies for nursing personnel, continuing education for nursing personnel, regulatory compliance, standards of care, and policies and procedures for reporting departments. This position is responsible for the coordination of the delivery of high quality services that meet or exceed customer expectations. Work collaboratively with Medical Staff, and Leadership in the fulfillment of the quality improvement action plan for clinical effectiveness.
Master's of Business or Healthcare Administration requires BSN education.
