About the Position: Serves as Chief, New Orleans District Real Estate Division with responsibility for planning, directing, and coordinating the real estate program of the District which includes project planning, appraisal, acquisition, management and disposal of real property, and Real Property Accountability duties required to accomplish the mission of the district, assigned regional work, and support for Federal, State and local agencies in accordance with laws, regulations, and policy.Qualifications: Who May Apply: Only applicants who meet one of the employment authority categories below are eligible to apply for this job. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) advising senior leadership (GS-15/COL and above) at higher headquarters with technical advice and guidance on Real Estate matters; AND 2) researching, interpreting and directing the implementation of Federal statues, regulations, policy and directives, and procedures affecting assigned functions; AND 3) overseeing acquisition, management and disposal, appraisal, and internal planning and control functions; AND 4) performing supervisory duties such as overseeing work activities, hiring, performance management, development and mentoring of workforce.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent, GS-14 for the GS-15 grade level.
