Associate, Media Investment

The Associate supports the execution and stewarding of media buys. As an entry level position, the Associate represents the start of a media career. You will report to a Senior Associate. This position is important in the daily tactical management of the investment program and requires you to works well in a team-based and customer service environment. While advanced Media knowledge is not required, the successful Associate shows the initiative to participate in advanced projects.

The Associate position is training-intensive. You will be eligible to attend Media Basics School offered twice a year. Learning new skills (both technical and organic) and procedures is important. You will be an active participant, increasing participation over time in the position. You will be encouraged to contribute ideas and insights that will benefit our clients and team. This role can be remote nationally or hybrid in the tri-state area, but you will need to work EST hours.

• Buying and Execution:
  • Input buys into the given system per the given media focus
  • Tracks delivery and performance of client media schedules
  • Responsible for the interaction with vendors regarding all media activity
  • Resolve billing discrepancies
  • Prepare a variety of reports for clients & client teams
• Client & Internal Relationships:
  • Support Senior Associates in preparing and delivering work to our clients and colleagues within dentsu
  • Assist Senior Associates in maintaining client budget levels
  • Assist Senior Associates in communicating with billing department and account teams
  • Attend status meetings
  • Manage relationships with external client vendors
  • May inform buying staff/clients of new opportunities or issues
  • Participate and contribute in face-to-face internal client teams and vendor meetings
  • Engage with all work-related contacts through personal and written communications
• Market Research & Leadership:
  • Maintain constant presence in marketplace to learn new ideas that can be presented to management for new deal opportunities
  • Seek solutions to issues related to media buying tools such as DDS, Prisma, preemptions and makegoods with client’s media schedules
  • Recommend improvements to internal workflow to improve efficiency
  • Keep current with market research (industry periodicals, email newsletters, websites, etc.)
  • Demonstrate ability to apply insights over time
  • Recognize potential problems and escalate or propose solutions
  • Take clear ownership of assigned tasks

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 0-2 years industry experience
• 1+ years of experience in analytics, math and Microsoft Office products
• Interest in familiarity with media buying

The anticipated salary range for this position is $45,000. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
