SalaryAs the Associate Manager of Content and Planning, you’ll support the planning, development and execution of content for internal and external audiences. You’ll be responsible for helping ensure the seamless operation of the content production processes, optimizing resources and helping to execute the communications strategy. In addition, you’ll serve as the primary editor of written content, consult on storytelling methods and write occasionally.

This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days on site at a Best Buy location and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What you’ll do
- Manage editorial process, including content calendar, meeting rhythms and content flow
- Gather input on upcoming announcements and activations; assist in mapping out on calendar and addressing overlaps
- Edit content, with some writing and publishing as needed
- Manage measurement program for content performance
- Recommend changes to Content and communications strategy and implement changes as needed
- Partner with members of other departments to gain editorial alignment and explore Content and distribution opportunities
Basic qualifications
- 4 years of experience in communications, public relations or related field
- 4 years of developing and implementing strategic communication plans
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple assignments from conception to completion on deadline
- Experience managing an enterprise editorial calendar
- Experience understanding audience engagement metrics and reporting on them
Preferred qualifications
- Effective communicator; proficient in written and verbal communication
- Ability to effectively operationalize team processes
- Ability to effectively build relationships with associates of all levels
- Proficiency with content management systems and project management software
- Experience managing through influence
