Assist Director(s) and Executive Director with the daily operation of the Office of Spiritual Development (OSD), as it relates to various projects and initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESManage the systems and operations for LU Send Office, Study Abroad, & Faculty-Led programs.
Work with Director to identify, develop, & upgrade interdepartmental systems & operations.
Troubleshoot & resolve large technical issues related to systems.
Work with Director to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Problem Solving - Collaborating with Business Analysts, Project Leads, & the IT team to resolve issues & ensure solutions are viable & consistent.
Develop standards & processes to maintain website & application design to provide users with a high standard of quality.
Review & submit contracts in BuyLU.
Manage student & vendor refunds that are within policy.
Qualtrics approvals & major survey/reporting updates.
Management of traveler information for all Global - Travel Advisory Committee meetings.
Work with the Director to ensure verbiage for cancellation/refunds is correct & legally compliant.
Actively participate in business discussions, providing insight that can support decision making.
Act as a thinking partner & coach who provides insights & recommendations, to enable data-informed decisions.
Assist with training & developing staff & student workers so that members are empowered to make informed/quick decisions.
Participate in site visits and lead student groups as needed.
Remain abreast of existing & emerging technologies, processes, products, & services leading industry performance benchmarks.
Work effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.
Establish vision for LU Send.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALSEducation and Experience- Four-year college degree.
- Two+ years in finance/systems related function.
- Well-developed communication skills are required.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, & communication skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience in international travel & cross-cultural services
- Accounting Experience
- Familiarity with Airtable, Microsoft Office, & Qualtrics
- Systems & JavaScript/HTML/CSS Experience
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated information.
- Ability to understand, speak, and write English, to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.
- Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University to a variety of business, community customers and associates.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Computer skills, especially Microsoft office; ability to learn new skills quickly.

- Occasionally required to travel to local and campus locations.

The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled office setting. It is well lit, and the noise level is moderate.
Driving RequirementsUse of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) is required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
