Associate Legal Counsel (Hybrid)

OUR POSITION IN A NUTSHELL
Dwellworks is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to join our legal team! Reporting to the VP of Legal, the Associate Legal Counsel will offer counsel to executives and VPs on a variety of legal issues. These areas will include employment and labor law, contract law, real estate law, advertising law, and regulatory compliance matters across all business lines and locations.
WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH

• Negotiate, draft, and close commercial agreements in support of the global initiatives of Dwellworks
• Advise on and maintain the company's global risk management strategy and compliance programs, especially related to data privacy and cybersecurity
• Oversee the company's annual Service Organizational Control Audit
• Curate corporate policies and conduct legal trainings and learning sessions with the Associates and supply chain partners of Dwellworks
• Assist with M&A transactions

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Your Education (Required)

• A Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in any US state with the ability to obtain corporate status in Ohio

Bonus Experience

• BS or MA in Business Administration or previous business experience
• Background and/or experience in data privacy practice and/or compliance

• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
• Communicate information concisely, accurately, and completely, while being understandable for non-lawyers
• Strong analytical and negotiating skills across both legal and commercial issues
• Team player attitude with the ability to establish strong relationships across internal and external contacts
• Ability to work independently
