JOB SUMMARY:
The Associate HR Business Partner primarily serves as support to efforts initiated by the U.S. HRBP’s. This position supports the day-to-day execution and effectiveness of client group(s) strategic objectives, initiatives and priorities through the facilitation of improvements in infrastructure, policies, processes and procedures. This position supports, including but not limited to, culture/engagement, talent acquisition, talent management-organizational development, performance, and employment practices. This position leverages industry knowledge and best practices to promote the mission and vision of CECO and the Human Resources organization.

- Builds/maintains relationships with front line managers and supervisors, serving as a primary point of contact for day-to-day and administrative HR matters.
- Works closely with HRBP’s and managers on the full spectrum of core HR activities that include performance management, learning and development, talent management and employee engagement initiatives, in partnership with the relevant Centers of Excellence (COEs).
- In collaboration with HR Business Partner, translates business needs to the rest of the HR COEs, leveraging their expertise to help shape org-wide HR systems and solutions.
- In collaboration with HRBP, provides coaching to managers and employees, with an emphasis on exploration and synthesis of options for each situation.
- Ensures the effective use of data in decision-making and makes recommendations to data collection efforts and data monitoring.
- Assists in the effective and timely implementation of HR processes and projects.
- Stays abreast of marketplace best practices and, in collaboration with HRBP, advises client groups accordingly.
- In collaboration with HRBP, ensures the organization complies with employment and labor standards.
- May serve as a backup HR Business Partner.
- Manages relevant HR administration tasks i.e., providing analyses, creating communication correspondence i.e. organizational announcements and presentations.
- Manages position status changes, liaisons for benefits, LOA, payroll questions/concerns.
- Partners with HRBP’s to manage policy interpretation/questions, investigations and performance management.
- Creates work instructions and streamlines HR processes to ensure optimization, i.e. job descriptions.
- Provides employment-related data and prepares required reports as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required.
- Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience and at least one year in a Business Partner capacity. Experience in a high-touch environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite; ADP or other HRIS systems applications.
LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Professional of Human Resources (PHR/SPHR) Certification a plus

- Have a comprehensive understanding of People Leadership methods and practices, and have proven your ability to acclimate to new environments and contribute quickly. Also builds trust, and the ability to appropriately manage “people-sensitive” issues confidential situations and corresponding documents.
- Law and Government-Knowledge of labor laws (experience with CA is a plus),
