We are looking for an experienced attorney to provide legal advice to our network of branch teams and support to business leaders across the Firm. The individual selected for this role will enjoy the benefit of working for a well-established 100 year-old Fortune 500 firm. This person will be responsible for:
- Providing legal advice and counsel to the firm, branch teams and internal business areas on a wide variety of branch and account-related legal issues, including matters involving, powers of attorneys, court orders, trusts, and fiduciaries.
- Identifying, mitigating, and managing potential risk to the firm, its affiliates and its associates.
- Effectively working with state or federal agencies to handle non-regulatory inquiries.
- Offering solutions-based advice by resolving conflicts before they escalate into complaints or litigation.
- Preparing associates to testify in non-party matters.
- Ensuring branch teams and home office associates adhere to regulatory and legal guidelines and policies and procedures of the firm.
- Demonstrated ability to handle matters independently, while exercising good judgment on when a matter needs to be escalated.
- Communicate effectively with other attorneys, professionals, associates and leaders.
- Identifying and managing outside counsel, when needed.

Position Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Juris Doctorate with exceptional academic credentials
- License to practice law in Missouri or an ability to obtain within six months of hire
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive responsibility as an attorney in private practice, in the public sector, or in an in-house counsel capacity
- SIE exam (if applicable), Series 7, 66, 9, 10, 24, preferred or must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
