Crystal Dynamics is currently in search of an enthusiastic Associate Gameplay Systems Engineer. In this exciting role, you will be at the forefront of creating immersive and engaging gameplay experiences for our AAA game titles. As an Associate Gameplay Systems Engineer, you will:
- Collaborate closely with the Lead Gameplay Engineer to translate game design concepts into functional gameplay mechanics and systems.
- Work in tandem with design teams to ensure the seamless integration of gameplay elements into the world.
- Participate in code reviews, continuously improving the quality and efficiency of our game systems.
- Address technical issues promptly, providing innovative solutions that maintain the project's momentum.
- Stay up-to-date with the ever-evolving gaming industry, contemplating how the latest advancements can be seamlessly incorporated into our projects.
- Engage with external collaborators when necessary, ensuring a smooth coordination process for build reviews.
To be considered for this role, we require the following:
- Experience as a gameplay engineer or equivalent on a project (personal or professional).
- A deep understanding of game mechanics, player interactions, and game systems.
- Proficiency in C++ programming and ability to apply mathematical principles to game development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to create compelling gameplay experiences.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with designers and fellow engineers.
Preference will be given to candidates who have:
- Demonstrated experience working with the Unreal Engine.
It would be a bonus if you've also:
- Contributed to the development of a 3rd Person Action-Adventure game.
The pay range for this role includes the annual base salary, not including bonus and the generous benefits package that Crystal Dynamics provides all full-time employees. Individual compensation is determined by work location within our approved states or regions, as well as additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education.
