Seismic Therapeutic, a biotechnology startup focused on the intersection of structural biology, protein engineering, machine learning and immunology, is seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Director / Director of Program Management to work closely with the program lead(s), cross-functional program teams and senior scientific team to develop and execute the strategy and operations for one or more of our research and early development programs.

Who You Are:
- A dynamic program manager with deep knowledge of the drug discovery and development process, including demonstrated experience with leading programs through preclinical development and regulatory submission, with a strong preference for early clinical development experience with biologics development and product candidates in immunology
- An effective communicator with ability to create materials and present complex scientific and strategic topics to variety of audiences, including senior leadership
- Able to lead through influence and strong collaborative skills
- Exceptional organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects
- Strong interpersonal skills to motivate others, reach organizational alignment and manage conflict, including collaborating with scientists at all levels

What You’ll Do:
- Partner with the program lead(s) to manage one or more cross-functional program team(s) to ensure achieving key program and corporate objectives
- Accountable for developing and maintaining cross-functional program timelines and tracking progress
- Collaborate with team members to develop integrated product plan outlining product strategies, functional strategies and interdependencies
- Proactively identify and facilitate decision making including scenario planning, decision criteria, articulating tradeoffs and implications on timelines, resources and objectives
- Maintain program workbook to track project goals, milestones and action, risks and decision logs and ensure clear and timely communication to teams and senior leadership
- Plan and facilitate program team meetings to ensure robust scientific discussions, operational coordination, and strategic planning
- Enable effective and consistent performance within program teams including supporting and coaching team members to optimize collaboration and delivery
- Partner with Program Management colleagues to ensure consistency, and coordination across portfolio, and establish/evolve best practices and help instill project management into our teams as our pipeline grows and matures
Qualifications:
- BS in scientific field required; MS in life sciences or MBA preferred
- 6-10 years of experience in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical setting and at least 5 years in Program Management with a demonstrated competency with programs in clinical stage, in particular for biologics in immunologic diseases
- Strong analytical and technical skills, including proficiency in project management practices, project planning, and decision-making.
- Command of MS office suite and project management tools (MS Project/Timeline, ThinkCell)
- Experience in both large and small company environments a plus.
