The Vaccines Analytical Research & Development, GMP Laboratories team, within our company's Research Laboratories Division, is seeking applicants for an Associate Director position available at its West Point, PA research facility.
The Associate Director is a Laboratory Operations Lead role, tasked with working closely with the group Director to define group strategy and to manage day-to-day operations within the GMP Laboratories, to drive a culture of quality and operational excellence to enable our company's clinical vaccines pipeline.
Applicants must have effective organizational and multi-tasking skills, and have exceptional communications. This role will support the operational aspects of the GMP analytical laboratory environment, as a critical team member, working closely with laboratory analysts, laboratory support teams, and quality partners. The successful candidate must function both independently and be able to collaborate in a fast-paced, integrated, multidisciplinary team environment. Strong communication skills and eagerness to adapt and learn are essential attributes. Qualifications
Education Minimum Requirements:
  • Ph.D. with 3-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • M.S. with 5-7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • B.S. with 7-10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

Required Experience and Skills:
  • Experience leading a team for a common goal
  • Related industry experience in compliance/GMP operations
  • Strong understanding of GMP policies and procedures
  • Strong team player with the ability to work both independently and cross-functionally to deliver on complex objectives
  • Proven track record of innovative problem-solving
  • Desire and ability to learn new concepts outside of expertise and training
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated creativity, and strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Experience in auditing and compliance within pharmaceutical industry, including change management and deviation management

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.
