We are currently recruiting for an Associate Director, US Oncology Marketing – Lung Portfolio. This newly created position will report to the US Oncology Marketing Director, Lung Portfolio and Capabilities. This role will focus on planning for a future launch in partnership with global and the US new products team while helping to drive current portfolio activities. The role will require outstanding leadership in several areas including strategy development and evolution, problem solving, collaboration, and precision execution.

To ensure a robust marketing experience, with broad skill/competency development over time, this position is designed to be flexible and may focus on any aspect of marketing over time, based on the business needs and/or the capabilities and developmental needs of the team. The initial focus of the role is outlined below, but the role could include or shift to other aspects of marketing in the future.

Initial responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following areas focused on future launches:

Overall market and Healthcare provider strategy development. Lung Portfolio Strategy. Market Research lead. Competitive strategy and landscape analysis. Budget Management Key collaboration point responsibilities specific to quantitative sciences, digital innovation and specific remote engagement capabilities.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead life cycle strategy development for lung cancer business including for combinations with other products and other novel mechanisms.

  • Responsible for developing mid to long term strategies that maximizing physician acceptance, market penetration, profitability, and uptake for future lung indications

  • Preparing the US market for introduction of future lung indications and key market events that will impact market share for current lung indications

  • Addressing data gaps in collaboration with Global Commercial teams and US Pan Tumor Teams

  • Provide appropriate US commercial input into clinical development program for future lung indications and develop a strong product value proposition

  • Work with finance and business planning to manage brand forecast and demand planning for future lung indications

  • Effectively partner within the lung cancer team, with cross-functional partners, and global counterparts to maximize business opportunity

  • Successfully navigate internal and external environments to deliver value

  • Effective cross-functional leadership with proven ability to create strategies that generate both revenue and operating income

Education Minimum Requirement: 

  • Bachelor's degree

Required Experience and Skills:  

  • Minimum of 5 years brand marketing experience and pharmaceutical business experience

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in Marketplace Assessment, Development of Disease State and Product Strategy, Product Positioning, and Brand Marketing

  • Strong leadership, problem solving, teamwork, analytical, written/verbal communication, and presentation skills

  • Experience with collaboration, influencing without authority and working successfully with cross-functional teams

  • Strategic thinking

  • Ability to work within complex organizations and markets and lead sub-teams in support of key marketing strategy areas

  • Requires approximately 15-20 % travel, including some weekends.

Preferred Experience and Skills:   

  • Master's degree

  • 2 years of Oncology marketing experience

  • Sales and Global Marketing experience

  • Product/Indication Launch experience in the US market

  • Global commercial development experience

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
