Associate Director-Student Career Relations

The UAB Career Center is seeking candidates to apply for the Associate Director-Student Career Relations position to plan, coordinate, and execute strategies to develop alumni and student-employer relationships. Serve as a resource and a liaison and manage the on-campus student recruiting program. Analyze employment and career trend data and make appropriate recommendations to leadership. Maintain current knowledge of institutional policies and procedures relative to programs, faculty, students, and alumni.

• Event Planning- The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong organizational and detail-oriented skills to effectively plan and execute events, particularly career fairs. This includes the ability to map out logistical aspects of events.
• Communication Skills- The candidate should excel in written and verbal communication to effectively network, build relationships with current and potential employers, and facilitate clear communication.
• Collaborative Nature- The candidate should have a collaborative mindset, understanding the importance of working with various stakeholders and strategic planning.
• Data-Driven Approach- The candidate should have experience utilizing data to inform decisions and strategies, especially when managing the career management platform (e.g., Handshake).
• Salesforce Proficiency- Familiarity with Salesforce is highly preferred, as it is integral to maintaining and facilitating employer relationships.
• Leadership Skill- The candidate must be able to lead and develop a small team, including one full-time staff member and a team of students.

Qualifications
A minimum of three years of relevant experience in employer relations, HR, event management, or relationship management and a master's degree in any discipline is required.

Annual Salary: $60,000 to $65,000
