The Position: We are looking for a candidate who will be performing the role of a Director - Senior, providing support to the Executive VP.
The Location: Huntsville, AL
The Work Environment: Remote
The Description:
The Senior Director will work closely with the Executive VP to develop and direct the strategic and long-range goals of the organization. Actively participate in proposal development (proposal writing, editing, illustration, production efforts, etc.) from assignment and receipt of RFP, through delivery and receipt by the customer. Provide Program Management functions to ensure contract compliance and customer satisfaction for a variety of contracts supporting Army and DoD space and missile defense operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Participates in the hiring and training of departmental staff and support personnel.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Acts as the Program Manager for U.S Army Space Command, Missile Defense Agency, and National Capitol Region (NCR) Integrated Air Defense System (IADS) contracts/subcontracts, which includes managing the AM Pierce personnel supporting the contract activities and operations.

Other Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the day-to-day operation of the company business requirements which include recruitment of skilled professionals, performance appraisals, career counseling, customer visits and marketing research activities to grow the business.
  • Coordinate the operation of departments to confirm that assigned programs are completed according to specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  • Provide guidance to Program/Project and Tasks Leads.
  • Develop staff to the next level by ensuring assigned staff fully understand projects, providing effective feedback to staff identifying and promoting growth opportunities for all staff.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and problem resolution.
  • Provide feedback, advice and back up as needed to other members of the AM Pierce leadership and staff to ensure all employee are adequately prepared to effectively accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, offering ideas, insights and recommendations on firm policies, staffing, customer service, new business and other topics that ultimately impact the overall quality of the Company.
  • Manage all aspects of proposal development (proposal writing, editing, illustration, production efforts, etc.) from assignment and receipt of RFP, through delivery and receipt by the customer.
  • Analyze solicitations (RFP, RFQ, RFI, etc.) in conjunction with other customer requirements and communications and determine final document structure.
  • Prepare detailed proposal plans, Monthly Status Reports (MSRs), Trip Reports, White Papers, Briefings and other CDRL items, as required.
  • Performs other related duties to benefit the mission of the organization.

Education & Experience:
  • Active DoD Top-Secret/SCI Clearance, required.
  • Master's Degree, desired
    • ALLOWABLE SUBSITIUTIONS:
      • Bachelor's Degree with addition years of relevant work experience.
    • Fifteen (15) or more years of experience in program management roles, including leading geographically dispersed and technically diverse teams to successful delivery on complex programs.
    • Ten (10) or more years of experience in developing and executing business strategies to achieve successful, quality growth.
    • Experience with analyzing and executing capture plans for system development, engineering, and integration efforts, including leading the business development life cycle from opportunity identification to proposal development.
    • Knowledge of NORAD and USNORTHCOM, USSTRATCOM, Missile Defense Agency, and US Army Space Command missions and functions.
    • Knowledge of DoD government contracts, acquisition, and proposal process.
    • Experience with AWS or similar CI/CD and web hosting technologies.
    • Knowledge of Agile methodology.
    • Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate the organization's mission and vision.
    • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with government agencies, community leaders, and the public.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Travel:
  • The employee will be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site. Both CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.
