As the Medical Outcomes Value Liaison you will conduct health economics and outcomes research and lead the medical interface with key access customers in a field-facing role.

Responsibilities:
  • Communicate and disseminate newly generated health economics and outcome research (HEOR) and clinical data to key external stakeholders, primarily U.S. healthcare payers.
  • Engage health plans, pharmacy-benefit managers, and hospitals in scientific dialogue about our products and pipeline.
  • Assist with developing HEOR strategic and tactical plans for products in development and commercialized products.
  • Assist in creating FDAMA 114 / Section 3037 pieces as well as enduring HEOR materials intended for reactive presentations by field teams.
  • Conduct training sessions for field teams to ensure appropriate use of HEOR field materials. Partner with medical information on dossiers, medical information letters, etc. to incorporate HEOR data into key medical materials.
  • Collect the voice of the customer from population decision makers and share insights with the internal medical teams.
  • Develop and maintain scientific relationships with key health outcomes thought leaders.
  • Actively gather and monitor competitive intelligence.
  • Attend HEOR and Managed Markets conferences to present data, attend relevant scientific sessions and professionally network and build relationships in the HEOR and Managed Markets professional community.
  • Coordinate with pricing, policy and reimbursement team to inform value-based pricing strategy and to integrate key policy and reimbursement initiatives into communications with U.S. Payers and field teams.
  • Attend medical and commercial advisory boards and present HEOR data when relevant.
  • Help to develop state Medicaid testimonies, incorporating new clinical and HEOR information into overall product value story. Present at Medicaid meetings when needed.
  • Expand HEOR support to broader pipeline of products.

Requirements:
  • Doctoral level degree, e.g. PharmD, PhD or MD
  • Concentration in health economics, outcomes research, epidemiology, statistics, public health, public policy or a related academic discipline preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in HEOR, Medical Affairs, Managed Markets, Health Plan, Pharmacy Benefit.
  • Prior experience in customer-facing roles preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytic skills.
  • Ability to travel (up to 60%).
  • Excellent oral and written communication as well as interpersonal and team-building skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, proactive outlook, and the ability to follow assignments through to completion
  • Adept at relating to all levels in a complex organization.

Our Compensation and Benefits
At Ferring, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $136,850 to $195,500, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount paid may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education and primary work location. Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance.
Benefits for this role include: comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with a premium differential, inverse to base salary, to be paid by employees; a 401k plan and company match; short and long-term disability coverage; basic life insurance; wellness benefits; reimbursement for certain tuition expenses; sick time frontloaded yearly of 40 hours, or higher if state or local law requires; vacation time for full time employees to accrue between 112.5 and 150 hours yearly in the first four (4) years of employment, and additional accruals starting in the fifth (5th) year of employment; and 12 to 13 paid holidays per year. For roles that are not field-based, Ferring has a policy that allows employees to work up to two days from home and three at a Ferring site, weekly.
