KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, IT Disaster Recovery to join our Digital Nexus Technology organization. This is a remote work opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of IT DR professionals; develop and mentor employees to build high performing teams
- Spearhead the development and execution of Disaster Recovery exercises and tests to validate the effectiveness of recovery strategies
- Collaborate with external vendors and SaaS/PaaS service providers to conduct contract and resilience evidence reviews
- Define Key Performance Metrics that will monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of Disaster Recovery measures, making recommendations for improvements as necessary
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to IT Disaster Recovery
- Work with IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of Disaster Recovery plans and operational failover procedures across on prem, hybrid, cloud resilience architecture
Qualifications:
- Minimum eight years of recent experience and strong knowledge of Disaster Recovery principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
- Proven experience in developing and implementing Disaster Recovery plans for complex IT environments; familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IT Disaster Recovery
- Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and lead cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to assess risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
