This role will include Global Marketing responsibilities for the Ig portfolio (Privigen and Hizentra), and close collaboration with various global functions and region commercial leads to manage lifecycle and key strategic projects for the brands. Responsible for the creation of the annual brand strategic plan to encompass the development, execution, and evaluation of strategies and tactics for key customer targets with input from cross-functional teams, external partners, and customers. Accountable for production and sales forecasts, product life cycle, advertising and promotion budget and, in collaboration with Medical Affairs, Public Relations, Global Insight, Market Access, and other functions, development of relationships with advertising agencies and external consultants (e.g., medical education agencies, publication planning agencies, public relations agencies).
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement Global Marketing strategies and tactics for assigned brands. This includes 3-year strategic marketing plans containing brand vision, strategic imperatives and tactical execution plans.
- Develop comprehensive 'go to market' plans, aligned with region and country stakeholders, for assigned late-stage TA pipeline product(s) in development which include:
- Value propositions
- Global positioning, concepts, and messages
- Global marketing materials
- Global brand guidelines
- In close collaboration with Global Insights and the regions manage launch tracking and performance reporting, capturing lessons learned and sharing best practices across the regions.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of our TA presence at key congresses agreed to with the TA Leadership Team, gathering input and driving alignment with the regions, and providing guidance to support functions.
- Provide commercial expertise related to the TA and provide relevant training to Commercial Operations Region staff where appropriate.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal groups (Commercial Operations, R&D, Legal, Finance, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Corporate Communications, Regulatory, Clinical Operations, etc.) and with key external group (key opinion leaders, physician and patient organizations, etc.).
- Recommends and assists with the alignment of resources and initiatives to drive current and long-term brand and portfolio growth.
- Develops business cases (under the guidance of Director/Sr. Director) for new opportunities within assigned therapeutic area, with input from external partners and customers, aligns them with Global Commercial Development business plans, and prepares them for review by senior management.
- Assumes responsibility for marketing representation on commercial executions team teams.
- Directs agencies, extended TA partners, and finance liaison to meet budget requirements for therapeutic area. Accountable for therapeutic area of strategic plan and production plan forecasting, including gaining stakeholder input on projections.
- With guidance from marketing leadership, develops and executes all therapeutic area growth strategies and tactics. Develops pricing strategies and brings recommendations to senior management for review.
Qualifications:
Education:
BS/BA required, preferably in the health-related discipline/ natural science. MBA or other related business degree preferred.
Experience:
8+ years' healthcare experience with 5+ years' commercial marketing experience in pharmaceutical/ biotech or relevant industry, (can include biologics, medical device or pharmaceuticals) product management experience that includes experience with a launch of product or line extension and 2-3 years people management experience.
The successful candidate must have demonstrable success in leading project teams and implementing key initiatives. Excellent analytic, oral and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills are required. Candidate should also be knowledgeable in financial management systems and ad agency operations. The position requires excellent organizational skills, collaboration, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
