Job Description
Gilead's mission is to discover, develop and deliver therapies that will improve the lives of patients with life-threatening illnesses worldwide.
As Associate Director- Global Deep Customer Insights (Leapfrog) you are responsible for:
  • Delivering Custom Analytics using Secondary data ranging from Treatment behaviors/ prescription data, email, call and other engagement data to understand customer behavior from multiple perspectives including content and channel preferences.
  • Developing sophisticated predictive models (classification models) to enable Microsegmentation and overlay attitudes on Target universe.
  • Creating, managing, and maintaining scalable analytical models for recurring analyses.
  • Developing Omnichannel insights from analysis of secondary engagement data.
  • Tracking performance of content journey's and share insights with markets.
  • Supporting in creating metrics to measure content personalization and content journey effectiveness.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Base: Support the development of comprehensive documentation and maintain a knowledge base to ensure business continuity, retain intellectual property, and facilitate information sharing.
  • Vendor Management: Proactively manage and optimize business vendor relationships, oversee contract negotiations, and ensure consistent performance and delivery to support operational needs and strategic goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Market Insights (Global and Regional), IT, Marketing, Sales, Analytics teams to integrate DCI insights into NBA implementation, Marketing Strategies and content.
  • Budget Management & Resource Allocation: Manage Project budget to agreed financial target and effectively allocate resources to ensure optimal utilization and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Data Governance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (such as GDPR and HIPAA) and uphold the highest standards of data ethics.

Required:
• A Bachelor's Degree and at least 10 years' relevant experience
*A minimum of 8 years' experience with a Master's degree.
Preferred Experience and Attributes:
  • Relevant experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or consulting with a focus in one or more areas of advanced analytics, data science and commercial strategy.
  • Experience in dealing with engagement data like calls, emails, websites etc. and ability to mine insights on utilization and patterns.
  • Experience with Omnichannel Marketing content personalization/Analytics/Market research is preferred.
  • Experience in HIV and Oncology Disease areas is preferred.
  • Must possess good task management skills, planning, prioritization, objective setting, and meeting management and plan execution
  • History of working and delivering on multiple projects simultaneously, with tight deadlines and changing priorities is required
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Ability to effectively leverage Microsoft Office (specifically PowerPoint and Excel) to present quantitative data in graphical form is required
  • Experience in successfully presenting to senior leadership audiences, including simplifying complex materials, educating, and managing audiences with differing viewpoints to get to alignment via clear and compelling storylines
  • Experience in biopharmaceutical-focused marketing, commercial strategy, or consulting is desirable.
  • Proven history of working and delivering on multiple projects simultaneously, with tight deadlines and changing priorities is required.
  • Passionate about the function, and a natural curiosity to solve complex problems.
  • Business leadership experience, and a track record of "influencing without authority" (specifically, more senior Commercial and cross-functional partners) in successful conflict resolution, and driving consensus.

Advanced degree (MBA / MA, Ph.D.) is preferred but not required
Consulting experience preferred
The salary range for this position is: $173,910.00 - $225,060.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
