Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is hiring for an Associate Director, Global Commercial Strategy, Precision Medicine Partnershipsin Global Commercial Data Science (GCDS) within the Global Commercial Strategy Organization. The position is based in Raritan, NJ and will require up to 10% travel.

The Associate Director, Global Commercial Strategy, Precision Medicine Partnerships will provide program management and oversight across various initiatives in support of Janssen's Global CommercialPrecision Medicine (PMx) strategy. Key focus areas will include partnership management and support of project work and deliverables for assigned TA's. The position will require partnerships across Global and Regional Precision Medicine, Marketing Teams, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Clinical Development, and Healthcare Compliance/Legal/Regulatory. The successful candidate should have commercial alliance management experience, Project Management experience, possess scientific/technical expertise in Precision Medicine, and be able to execute on key commercial PMx projects and deliverables.
Primary responsibilities for this position will include but not limited to:
• Development and implementation of Global Commercial Diagnostic Partner strategy to enable successful commercialization of companion and complementary diagnostic programs
• Partner with internal stakeholders (PM commercial leads, Business Development, Legal and R&D) for a coordinated execution of J&J Precision Medicine Global Partnership Strategy
• Develop and maintain robust connections with current and potentially future strategic diagnostic industry key stakeholders, fostering partnerships that not only support current initiatives but also lay the groundwork for future opportunities.
• Acquire and continuously deepen understanding of the Diagnostic partner portfolio and inherent value proposition ensuring understanding of strengths, weaknesses and capabilities, including an oversight on all ongoing and future commercial activities in Precision Medicine space.
• Lead, coordinate, and champion commercial input to support the company in the finalization and execution of decisions related to companion and complementary diagnostic partnerships.
• Facilitate coordination of commercial insights and provide strategic guidelines essential for aiding Business Development and Legal teams in crafting term sheets and legal agreements with Diagnostic partners.
• Take charge of the day-to-day coordination and facilitation of interactions with diagnostic industry partners, serving as the primary point of contact for both specific Dx partners and internal stakeholders.
• Facilitate planning and implementation of collaborative educational or scientific activities and events with Diagnostic Partners to enhance awareness and activate necessary capabilities for the long-term success of Precision Medicine.
• Lead collaborative commercial committee between J&J and the Diagnostic (Dx) partner, spearheading the formulation and execution of joint commercialization strategies for companion diagnostics.
• Align and coordinate management of resources, budgets, and timelines across key stakeholders related to diagnostic partner initiatives.
Qualifications
Key Qualifications and Experiences:
• Bachelor's Degree is required, an advanced degree (MBA, PhD, or equivalent) is preferred.
• A minimum of 4+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical and/or diagnostic industry is required
• Proven track record in developing and implementing successful Global Commercial strategies.
• Experience in Precision Medicine, companion diagnostics, or related fields is required.
• Experience developing and managing strategic partnerships is required
• Experience managing strategic partnerships within the global diagnostic industry is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to identify, negotiate, and execute successful collaborations is required
• Strong ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams, including Project Management, Business Development, Legal, and R&D.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain robust connections with internal and external stakeholders.
• Understanding of the diagnostic industry, trends, and key players is required.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and commercial considerations in the Precision Medicine and diagnostics space is preferred.
• Previous experience leading and coordinating commercial efforts in the finalization and execution of partnerships, specifically in companion and complementary diagnostics.
• Ability to provide strategic input to support business development and legal teams in crafting agreements with diagnostic partners.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in resource management, budgeting, and timeline management.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external partners.
• Ability to facilitate interactions and serve as the primary point of contact for diagnostic industry partners.
• Experience leading collaborative committees or teams, fostering joint commercialization strategies.
• Ability to align and coordinate resources, budgets, and timelines across key stakeholders.
• Experience working in a global role or with international teams is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with the cultural nuances and regulatory landscapes of different regions.
• Approximately 10% travel for business, as necessary.
Salary:
The base pay range for this position is $ 118,000 - $203,500
Bonus:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
