ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR FOR ACADEMIC AFFAIRS
The Kansas Board of Regents invites applicants to fill the position of Associate Director for Academic Affairs. The nine-member Kansas Board of Regents is the governing board of the state’s six universities and the statewide coordinating board for the state’s 32 public higher education institutions (six state universities, one municipal university, nineteen community colleges, and six technical colleges).
The Associate Director for Academic Affairs oversees implementing and ongoing monitoring of the Systemwide General Education Framework, Math Pathways, and Co-requisite Remediation for Math and English gateway courses. In carrying out these responsibilities, the Associate Director will utilize established councils and task forces and create new ones to engage system institutions and stakeholders to support critical initiatives targeting student success.
The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and possess at least three years of full-time experience in a postsecondary environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate familiarity with current issues in higher education, and the ability to prioritize, take initiative, focus, and follow projects through to completion. A well-developed set of communication (oral and written), analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills is essential for a successful candidate.
Salary range is $60,000 to $68,000 and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
