As an Associate Creative Director specializing in copywriting, you will be a key leader in the creative team, responsible for overseeing the development of compelling and impactful written content. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will provide strategic direction for copywriting projects, mentor copywriters, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, on-brand content that resonates with the target audience. The ideal candidate possesses a strong portfolio, exceptional writing skills, and a strategic mindset.
The Associate Creative Director reports to the Creative Director, and is responsible for the quality and creation of bold, strategic, persuasive messages in all types of media.
Strategic Direction:
- Provide strategic leadership for copywriting initiatives, aligning creative concepts with overall marketing and brand strategies.
- Collaborate with the Creative Director to establish and maintain a cohesive creative vision.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and inspire a team of copywriters, content creators, and other creative professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging the exchange of ideas and best practices.
Creative Development:
- Conceptualize and develop compelling copy for a range of marketing materials, including advertisements, website content, social media posts, email campaigns, and more.
- Ensure that all copy aligns with the brand voice, tone, and messaging guidelines.
Project Oversight:
- Oversee the execution of copywriting projects from concept development to final delivery.
- Collaborate with project managers to allocate resources effectively and manage workloads.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with art directors, designers, and other members of the creative team to ensure seamless integration of copy with overall creative strategy.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and sales teams to understand campaign objectives and incorporate feedback into copywriting.
Mentorship:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior copywriters, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and offer constructive feedback.
Quality Assurance:
- Maintain a high standard of creative excellence, ensuring that all written content meets or exceeds brand and industry standards.
- Conduct regular reviews and critiques to refine and enhance the quality of copy.
Brand Consistency:
- Ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and brand voice across all communication channels.
- Collaborate with brand managers to maintain and evolve brand guidelines as needed.
Trend Monitoring:
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging language styles, and communication best practices.
- Integrate relevant trends into the copywriting process to ensure the work remains fresh and competitive.

- Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of Proven experience in copywriting and leading a creative team.
- 4+ years of agency experience.
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative copywriting projects.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with marketing and advertising principles.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
This position is a hybrid role with 50% of your weekly hours spent in our office.
