- With direction from the Deputy General Counsel, the Associate Counsel will manage and support a wide variety of projects to develop, construct, finance, and operate renewable energy projects
- Collaborate cross-functionally with An Energy Transition Company's Development, Commercial, EPC, and Finance teams in matters relating to project development, finance, and construction, including offtake, procurement, construction, and finance agreements
- Assist the Deputy General Counsel in negotiating, drafting and closing project level transactions and oversee financing compliance
- Lead legal aspects of real estate transactions, including negotiating leases and other real estate agreements and supporting real estate efforts related to project financing and title policy issuance
- Act as a business partner while supporting legal matters, including reviewing and analyzing responses to requests for proposals, due diligence requests, and vendor qualifications
- Create processes and implement legal ops to optimize workflows

Minimum Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school with a current license to practice law in a U.S. state
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant renewable energy experience (e.g., procurement and construction, finance, development, general commercial/transactional work)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on succinctness and clarity
- Ability to work concurrently on a variety of projects and work effectively under pressure
- Some travel required
