Job Summary:

Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst ensures accurate and timely execution of our business transactions by clearly understanding our customers' needs and end-to-end business processes. Works under limited supervision, prioritizing assignments and workloads to meet production and project deliverables. Through Data and Production Analytics, the team strives to identify trends to create transparency related to performance. Work with departments to outline the specific needs for each business unit. Assists with projects and special initiatives of an operations nature.

Understands the business unit's processes and implications on other groups within the operations function and other divisions within the company. Knowledge acquired through increasingly responsible work. The BI Analyst provides ongoing technical support for the architecture and enhancement of RCC’s workflow. The BI Analyst actively interfaces with all third-party vendors and all levels of RCC management to assess opportunities, gather requirements, design solutions, and develop and implement process and improvements.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

  • Data Integrity; ensuring accurate data is being collected in System of Record
  • Qlik reporting
  • Exception report creation, for data accuracy
  • ODBC Connections from Excel to SQL/Oracle, build/maintain existing
  • Data tag testing in UAT environments (XML Tagging in Excel documents)
  • Basic SQL Query writing (sub query, unions, case statement, Date part ETC)
  • Responsible for the day to day operational outcomes for an assigned area; anticipates and recommends solutions for current and future opportunities
  • Work across business units to improve monitoring, discover issues, mitigate risk and deliver better value to the customer
  • Captures requirements across systems and business unit(s) that may continually shift throughout the lifecycle of the assigned work, requiring business assessment impact
  • Determines the feasibility of requests, ensures user requirements are thoroughly and accurately documented
  • Understands the integration of processes across business units
  • May facilitate and performs necessary follow up with partners to ensure new or modified system functionality is documented accurately, requirements have been met and are aligned with project outcomes
  • Provides analytical support, leveraging third party external partners and internal partners to assist in business decisions
  • May develop and update reporting needs for efficiency
  • Providing technical consultation on data requirements for all new business initiatives and/or changes to the business
  • Monitor, analyze and accurately execute medium to high complexity transactions to support business operations
  • Own and develop relationship with internal partners and external customers and vendors, working with them to optimize and enhance our integration and business results
  • Identify and solve common sources of technical issues or questions.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on projects and key strategic initiatives

Primary Success Measurements:

  • Clear, effective communication with all levels of employment as indicated by feedback from RCC management
  • Support of all operational and business intelligence processes as indicated by feedback from internal/external data clients
  • Efficiency and timeliness in execution of solutions as measured by comparison of performance against project goals

Education and/or Experience:

  • The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration or CIS
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience implementing or supporting projects, systems and applications
  • Experience working on teams to deliver full-cycle implementation projects
  • Commercial Real-estate industry experience
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines with short lead times
  • Strong skills in Excel
  • Basic SQL skills
  • BI Tools Experience a plus (Power BI, Qlik, Tableau ETC)
  • VBA knowledge a plus.
