Associate Attorney

Los Angeles Real Estate Attorneys is a boutique AV-rated downtown Los Angeles law firm, specializing in environmental, real property and business litigation, and business and commercial transactions. We are seeking a full-time litigation / transactional associate with 1 to 3 years of experience. Excellent written communication and proofreading skills are required. We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and hard-working team player.
Responsibilities:

• Provide legal support to clients and assist partners
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution.
• Stay current with legal developments in relevant practice areas.
• Participate in business development and client acquisition efforts.
• Prepare for and attend a wide variety of hearings for law and motion practice.
• Review client documents to prepare productions for discovery.
• Propound and respond to written discovery.
• Review, revise, and negotiate contract terms.
• Prepare witness outlines for deposition or trial testimony.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of general litigation and/or transactional experience.
• Excellent writing and proofreading skills.
• Strong research and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• The ability to communicate effectively and handle multiple priorities in a timely and professional manner.
• Experience drafting various pleadings and motions, including motions for preliminary and final approval.
• Must be an active member of the State Bar of California in good standing.
