We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified entry level Associate Attorney to join our firm. You must be licensed to practice in the state of Nevada. Recent bar passers are encouraged to apply. This position will work primarily in family law and provide occasional assistance to our criminal defense team. No prior experience in family law or criminal defense is required. You must have a strong desire to be in a courtroom and routinely interact with other attorneys, clients and the general public. Note: This is NOT a work from home position.Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals.
- Perform legal research and analysis on various issues within family law, criminal defense, and personal injury cases.
- Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations.
- Negotiate settlements for legal disputes.
- Comply with all legal standards and regulations.
- Maintain client confidentiality and prioritize ethical decision-making.
- Participate in business development activities to help grow the firm's presence in the legal community.
- Collaborate with partners, senior associates, and support staff to ensure a seamless legal process.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Nevada.
- Interest in family law
- Strong desire to litigate and be in a courtroom at least 2-3 days a week
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle a high caseload and multitask various responsibilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
